Sierra™ is a unique concept in commercial refrigeration that incorporates a number of features which enhance performance and provide energy savings over conventional systems. The heart of the Sierra™ system lies in its patented condenser design. Sierra’s condenser eliminates the need for an external receiver tank by incorporating refrigerant storage capacity into its oversized condenser section. The benefit of this design is twofold. First, this saves money by reducing refrigerant charge requirements. Secondly the condenser contains a built in liquid sub-cooling circuit leading to increased energy savings and improved system stability; a direct result of the sub cooled liquid refrigerant. Finally by incorporating floating head pressure technology, energy savings are achieved each time air temperatures decrease below design ambient temperatures, saving money and increasing compressor life as operating pressures are reduced.
